The SPPF

Role and function of the SPPF

The SPPF is a non-trading collecting society set up by Independent Producers when the 1985 law come into force.
The SPPF provides a range of services which have been adapted to suit your requirements :

•constitution of a Corporate Register listing your phonograms and videograms,
•collection and distribution of royalties pertaining to the use of your phonograms and videograms,
•representation and protection of your rights both at national and international level,
•systematic attribution of an ISRC Code to each of your recordings.

Monitoring and analysis of the evolution of your rights means that the SPPF can start a debate every time it proves necessary and draw the attention of official bodies when your rights need to be defended more vigorously or reinforced, whether in France, in the European Union or in signatory countries to the Rome Convention.

The SPPF manages your rights in a transparent manne.
At each stage of management (from documentation to distribution), the SPPF endeavours to provide you with all the necessary information : circular explaining procedures, assistance with updating your phonograms or videograms or, more specifically, your sales.
The annual activity report is a document which acts as a true summary of all action taken in the achievement of the SPPF corporate aim.
With the information it contains regarding the provenance and distribution of amounts collected, it acts as a model of transparency and reliability and is referred to as a model of its kind in the profession and by official bodies.

More than 500 producers have become members of the SPPF, uniting numerous independent producers such as Scorpio Music, Happy Music, Atoll Music, AB Disques Video, Francis Dreyfus Music, GM.MUSIPRO, Yearling Productions, Tréma, Sforzando , etc ...
