From assistance with Musical Creation to the exhibition of phonographic productions of Independent Producers
In accordance with the provisions of the 1985 law, the SPPF assigns 25 % of sums received for Private Copying and 50 % of "non distributable" amounts received as Equitable Remuneration to Actions of General Interest.
These amounts are used for assistance with creation, the promotion of live shows and for performer training :

•27,5 % of the amount received is paid to the FCM (Musical Creation Fund), in application of the triennal convention which links, amongst others, the Ministry of Culture, the FCM and the SPPF.
SPPF representatives play an active role in the various commissions, particularly within the framework of assistance with the production of phonograms and videograms.
•72,5 % of the amount is managed directly by the SPPF, enabling it to respond to the specific expectations of independent producers, by making the following available to them :
1) Exhibition space for their registers at national and international professional events.
Since being set up, the SPPF has taken part in the following trade shows : Midem, Milia (of which it is a founder member), Popkomm, Mip Asia and Midem Asia, for which it has played an essential role in the unquestionable success of this event.
2) The SPPF supports numerous professional events such as the "Victoires de la musique", "Francofolies" and the "Django d' Or".
3) The SPPF also takes part in training activities for performers (Astaffort Musical Expression Show within the framework of the Southern Voices Association), provides assistance for the promotion of small theatres (Orques Idées network, "Le Chainon Manquant") and helps such organsations like "Francophonie Diffusion" which promote french music towards foreign radios and medias.
Finally, together with other partners, the SPPF has entrusted to the IFCIC (Institute for the Financing of the Cinema and Cultural Industries), the task of managing a fund given over exclusively to covering loans granted to companies within the musical industries sector (Music Producers and Publishers).
